Can you guess the three most important financial numbers you need to know about yourself? One is net worth. Net worth is the value of your assets (property, cash, etc) minus your liabilities (your debt). To be considered wealthy, use this simple formula:

(Your age) times (annual income) divided by ten.

The number you calculate is what your net worth should be. Net worth and income are not the same. Lots of high wage earners are not wealthy if they have high debt. Very few people are actually wealthy.
